Description
From a single one-acre block in Snowden Vineyards' Lost Orchard vineyard, perched 850 feet above Lake Hennessey in Napa Valley's Vaca Mountains, comes a Sauvignon Blanc produced in remarkably small quantities. Planted on rhyolite volcanic sands and harvested by hand, the fruit was whole-cluster pressed and fermented exclusively with native yeasts in neutral oak and stainless steel. Eight months of lees aging, without malolactic fermentation, preserves both texture and freshness. Made primarily for the Snowden family to enjoy, only a small amount is released each year. The 2024 vintage is both zesty and full-bodied, offering layers of citrus zest, Bosc pear, and mineral complexity. Richly textured yet driven by vibrant acidity, it delivers a long, nuanced finish that lingers beautifully. Awarded 92 points by James Suckling, who praised its concentration, elegance, and balance, calling it "a lovely, concentrated and elegant wine" with flavors of minerals, earth, pear, and lemon zest. #SNOWDENFEATURE
