Description
Sourced from a prized two-acre parcel known as Palomino Hill within Snowden's Brothers Vineyard, this mountain-grown Cabernet Sauvignon captures the essence of the estate's eastern ridge in the Vaca Mountains of Napa Valley. Situated at 800 feet elevation between Rutherford and St. Helena, the vineyard's east-facing slopes and rhyolite volcanic soils provide ideal conditions for producing wines of intensity, structure, and elegance. The 2022 growing season combined abundant winter groundwater with classic Napa weather, culminating in a carefully managed harvest during September's intense heat. Fermented exclusively with native yeasts and aged for 18 months in French oak barrels before being bottled unfined, the wine reflects both the character of the site and Snowden's commitment to traditional, low-intervention winemaking. Composed of 99% Cabernet Sauvignon with a touch of Petit Verdot, the 2022 Brothers Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is both bold and remarkably approachable. Aromas of violets, pencil shavings, and black plum lead into a rich, layered palate filled with black cherry, cigar box, and holiday spice notes. Full-bodied yet refined, the wine unfolds with exceptional depth and length, supported by unusually silky tannins for this celebrated vineyard block. #SNOWDENFEATURE
