Oh look, Ribolla Gialla again! This time from California and the inaugural vintage from Phinneas Fittipaldi, former owner of Troubador Wine Bar in Uptown. Phin has worked many harvests in California under the tutelage of masters like Steve Matthiasson, Ian Brand and Michael Cruse. This Ribolla follows the inspiration of the European examples but mixes in the power of California-ripened grapes. It’s tart, fresh, and textural a in delicious way that checks both the “orange” and “natural” boxes. We hope to host Phinneas in the store for a tasting soon so you can hear it all straight from the man himself!
