Description
Rising from the cold Monterey Bay, the Arroyo Seco AVA is located 40 miles up the Salinas Valley, on the foothills of the Santa Lucia Mountains. The maritime climate combines with rocky, well-drained, alluvial gravel soils to produce Pinot Noir with bright, vibrant fruit flavors. The wine open opens with fragrant red berry tones, black cherries, raspberries, complemented by a lovely spice notes. The palate is velvety, warm and soft with layers of red and dark berries. The finish is long and supple, allowing the fruit and vanilla notes to marry perfectly with hints of oak and spice. This would be terrific with pork grilled in a mushroom sauce or with blackened salmon.
