Description
In South Africa, they call traditional-method sparkling wines “Methode Cap Classique”, or “MCC”. They’re some of my favorite high-value sparkling wines, and this one has the added quirk of being 100% Shiraz! It’s not red, but using a grape beside the classic Pinot Noir, Meunier or Chardonnay lends unique flavors of Turkish delight, rose water, raspberries and sherbet. With those notes it becomes a great brunch pairing, especially with gravlax or parma ham.
