The "Maltage" series blends single malt distilled at Mars Shinshu with undisclosed Scottish malt. Mars Cosmo is aged primarily in ex-bourbon casks and finished in ex-Cabernet & Pinot Noir casks sourced from the Mars Winery in Yamanashi. A nose of maple, stewed cherries, currants, and baking spice primes the palate for lush red fruit and vanilla balanced with wood spice.
