Description
These vineyards are in contention to be the highest in Europe at nearly 3600 feet, in the shadow of Mont Blanc. Here, Ermes Pavese crafts this elegant wine from the Prié grape, the oldest documented variety in Valle d'Aosta, on tiny little trellises to keep the grapes out of the punishing alpine wind. The wine is austere, racy, and mineral with vivacity and length.
