Description
Distilled on a wood-fired alambic Armagnacais (short copper column still) and aged 15 years in a combination of new and used oak in Château de Briat’s historic chai. A rich yet elegant nose exhibits almond paste, slivered almonds, concord grapes, and a touch of lavender and powdered sugar before turning to a sharp palate of lovage and white pepper. A snap of mint on the finish is underscored with the subtlest note of caramelized cinnamon-raisin-bread crust.
