Spicy, lush black fruit flavors of Alexander Valley. Briary and raspberry flavors are present, along with structure of cooler Dry Creek Valley. Overall, this is a balanced and elegantly structured Zinfandel from a challenging vintage. A touch of heat is present on the oak-spiced finish when consumed young, will improve with 2-3 years of aging. A big, extracted style, pair this with dry rubbed, slow cooked beef ribs.
