Rio Madre 2018 Rioja stands out because it is just one single grape – 100% Graciano. Upon tasting the wine, I found Graciano at its best. Deep rich red color, full aromatic dark red berry flavors, solid acidity, and firm tannic core. In the glass, primary fruit of blackberry and cherry, with good secondary spice notes of black pepper, caramel notes from American oak, and soft cola finish.
