Description
After a Dry January to recalibrate my palate, I was craving reds with a lighter body and more acidity than before, and fortunately, our expanded Pinot Noir selection provides plenty of new bottles to investigate. Prisma from Chile is not just a pretty face. These grapes are grown along Casablanca Valley's coast, and thanks to the blessings of morning fog (which help with slow, even ripening) and granite-filled soil (contributing freshness and minerality), they started life off well. Sustainable farming and careful winemaking decisions once the fruit was harvested sealed the deal. Showing plenty of cherry, plum, baking spice, dried fruit, and a touch of toastiness, this wine would be a joy at twice the price. -Noelle Starr, Surdyk's Wine Consultant
