The Jack's Hill Chardonnay is from the small La Belle Rose Vineyard planted on iron oxide granite soil. The climate on the east side of the Salinas Valley is cool, allowing for retention of acidity in the grapes as they slowly ripen and develop their flavor. The wine displays bright aromatics with a wonderful balance of acidity and fruit with a long, refreshing finish. This is an extremely versatile and food friendly Chardonnay that could pair with a large selection of dishes from pan-fried flounder to grilled lobster tail to marinated chicken.
