The Letherbee story began in 2007 with founder Brenton Engel and a small basement moonshine operation in Chicago. Demand for his herb and spice infused gins would eventually grow to the point that Engel had no choice but to make his distilling business legal. Following a “no outside influence” policy, Letherbee’s Spirits are made as true to the way they began. Vernal is the limited Spring/Summer release that takes on a different herb and spice profile with each year.
