Description
Some very select wines have all the right labels to make them so appealing. This is one of them: FRENCH – old world wine country, RED BURGUNDY – 100% Pinot Noir from a historic wine appellation – and DROUHIN – a respected top wine producer. If you like Pinot Noir and regularly buy American wine, it is time to treat yourself to a value-packed Burgundy from France. First plantings of Pinot go way back to 150 BC. The clay and limestone soil and climate are so well suited to this grape. Winemaker Veronique Boss-Drouhin comments, “A wine full of charm: bright ruby color and a nose rich with aromas of raspberry, red currants, and strawberry.” I personally like the freshness of the fruit and the light tannin structure of the wine. The 2023 vintage was warm and sunny, and the grapes were harvested at perfect maturity. This is a good dinner wine with a full flavorful taste.
