There’s good tannic structure without toughness, along with the typical flavors of cabernet-black currant (cassis, black cherry and chocolate. The distinct terroir of Paso Robles also influences the aromatics of the wine with the area’s characteristic forest-y scents. Blending of small percentages of Petite Sirah, Merlot, Petite Verdot, Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Franc add to the complexity.
