A wine lauded by chefs from all over the world, the wines are crisp, fragrant and deliciously dry. Gobelsburg’s vineyards date back over 1000 years, but since 1996 have been tended by Michael Moosbrugger. With some assistance from Willi Brundlmayer (whose wines you can also find here at Surdyk’s), The wines labeled as “Gobelsberger” are his entry level wines and are blended from grapes from his best parcels. He farms organically, and the wines are fermented in stainless steel tanks. Lively and robust, thirst quenching and complex,good luck setting the glass back down. You will love Grüner Veltliner for its versatility, one of the best wines to match up with asparagus and broccoli as well as a plethora of cuisines like fish, chicken, sausages, schnitzel, cheeses and vegetable stews.
