Description
Terroir is a single French term used to describe a multitude of factors that influence the flavors and nature of a wine. The weather, geology, aspect, location and human elements of a location all play a part. Using two varieties that are highly transparent of their place--Riesling and Pinot Noir--this will be a discussion and comparison of the elements that make up "terroir". Featuring the single-vineyard wines of Germany's Weingut Donnhoff and California's Ceritas Wines, led by Peter Plaehn.
