The label says it all: this wine comes from the treacherous slopes of the very active Mount Etna volcano. While some of the most well-known Etna wines are the reds from the north slope of the caldera, the Nicolosi family has been a pioneer of the eastern slope and the ideal aspects it offers the Catarratto grape, which never gets preferred position in the north. White fruit and saline notes run all over the palate with a complex, fine finish.
