This family-owned, certified sustainable winery is a five-generation Wente dynasty. Making chardonnay from original French Meursault budwood, this Morning Fog wine is from the San Francisco Bay AVA and enjoys the maritime climate of the Bay Area. Stainless steel and wood barrel fermentation yield a varietal style marked by floral, tropical fruit with lemony citrus and light vanilla spice. A distinct stony texture on the finish.
