Shebang is made by Morgan Twain-Peterson as part of his Bedrock Wine Company. Morgan is the son of Joel Peterson of Ravenswood winery, but unlike many second generation wine makers, Morgan chose to pursue a degree at Vassar and even began pursuing a Master’s degree. Friendships with wine enthusiasts in New York, however, led him back to California, and time spent in Australia and France only strengthened his resolve to start his own wine-making project. While many of the wines made under the Bedrock label are from very old and very specific vineyard sites, this is composed of grapes from several parts of California, creating complex red and black fruit flavors with notes of white pepper. This satisfying red will pair well with a wide variety of cheeses, sausages, and red meats.
