If you’ve ever been to Barcelona, then it’s quite possible you found yourself near one of Spain’s oldest and most progressive wine regions, Penedès. From their advancements in the winemaking process, to serving as the birthplace of cava, Penedès has been at the forefront of Spain’s winemaking journey for years. This wine is the perfect example of how this region has perfected white wine making, providing you something with great balance and complexity. If you enjoy Spanish wine as much as I do, then you absolutely have to try this bottle. A beautiful white blend of two popular grapes from the Catalan area, Xarelo and Malvasia a de Sitges. Both outstanding in their own right, but together work in perfect harmony in this bottle. Following a wild fermentation process in a concrete vessel, the wine has a pronounced aroma of floral and tropical fruit notes. The dry white wine has juicy notes of lychee, grapefruit, and passion fruit. But it is the crisp acidity of the wine that keeps every sip refreshing and mouthwatering. While I’d highly recommend having this bottle alone so you can enjoy everything it has to offer, you could easily have this complement any chicken or pasta dish or have it as your “go-to” bottle for those holiday parties you’ll be attending, it's sure to be a crowd pleaser! ¡Salud! 122558
