Description
At Porter's micro-distillery in Aberdeen, Scotland, a vacuum still is used to distill at temperatures below atmospheric boiling points to retain light and natural flavors that would otherwise be "cooked" by pot-distilling. For the Orchard Gin, bright golden notes of apple and pear are layered on a classic juniper base. Other botanicals include black soybean, coriander, angelica, orange, lemon, orris, cassia, cinnamon, liquorice, and almond. Best served in a French 75 cocktail or in a G&T with sliced green apple.
