Description
The barrels used to age Neisson Profil 105 are made of equal parts French oak and American oak staves that have been matured for at least three years. These barrels are previously used to hold white agricultural rums for about 4 months, a process that allows the release of excess tannins, as well as the bitter note of the wood that would be too strong for ageing in a tropical climate. They are then refilled with rum, which will rest for at least 18 months. Profil 105 benefits from all the characteristics of new wood and is an absolutely astonishing 20-month-old rum with an impressive taste profile for its young age.
