One of my favorite wines from Hahn is the GSM red blend, made from Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre, a combination made famous in the Rhone Valley. This is a wonderful food wine that provides flavor and substance to a good meal of roasted meat and vegetables. The Grenache grapes come from Arroyo Secco vineyards and provide fruity flavors of raspberry, strawberry, and red cherry. The Syrah from the Santa Lucia Highlands adds vivid color and black pepper spice notes. Dark Mourvedre fills in richness and tannic structure. The result is a perfect red wine taste that is a solid favorite on my table. - Bill McCleary
