Description
John Grochau first experienced wine and winemaking as part of a French cycling team in the Loire Valley. Returning to Portland, one naturally goes from selling wine in restaurants to making wine. Time at Erath and Brick House taught him the ropes before his first vintage as owner of Grochau Cellars in 2002. His focus is on the legacy grapes of the Willamette Valley – Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc – as well as the emerging stars of Gamay and Melon. His wines are fresh, vibrant and at their best with food. #PACIFICNORTHWEST #OREGONWINE
