80% Grenache, 20% Syrah from 80-year-old vines and vinified in concrete tanks. Flavors of ripe red fruits, soft boysenberry, garrigue, and hints of mint, anise, and smoke. There aren't many wines from Cairanne available in Minnesota, but it's not hard to see why this village is the most recent promotion from Cotes-du-Rhone Villages to full AOP status.
