When our great-grandfather Joe opened his small store in 1934, did he have any idea that this humble beginning would blossom into a destination liquor store, cheese shop, restaurant, and catering company? That when our grandfather, Bill, along with our dad, Jim, moved the store a block east, not only would the physical footprint expand, but so would Minnesotan’s palates to a world of wines and spirits like never before? Or that 90 years later, his great-grandchildren would be carrying on the family legacy? 

Surdyk’s is known for an incredible selection, expert staff, and for being leaders in competitive pricing… things we are very proud of. We are even more proud that our store has been a staple in the Northeast Minneapolis community for the past 90 years. We know our customers by name and love hearing how their parents and grandparents relied on Surdyk’s to help celebrate everything from simple dinners to grand parties and everything in between, and now they do, too. 

To celebrate this 90th anniversary milestone, we have just completed a remodel of the liquor store and invite you to come in and experience it for yourselves. More products, more space, and more tastings! As we look back on 90 years and ahead to the future, we are beyond thankful for you, our customer. Without you, there would be nothing to celebrate.
