Description
Mongravey is one of the best Margaux available today, surpassing many of the prestigious classified growths in quality and over-delivering for its price. Margaux wines are known for haunting perfume, silky texture, and concentrated flavors. Left Bank Bordeaux has traditionally been dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon, and this wine offers the dense structure of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, plus spice and fruitiness of Merlot (35%). James Suckling: 91-92 pts., 93-95 pts WE.: "This family-owned property has produced a well-balanced wine. The wood aging is subtle, allowing the ripe black fruit flavor to dominâte. It is going to be rich wine that’s cut by firm tannins." - Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast
