The latest vintage of Berger Gruner Veltliner is here! Not only do we have this wine at its lowest price in over five years, the latest vintage has abandoned it’s pop-top crown cap for a regular old screw top on its liter bottle. The wine inside is as lovable as ever. Gruner Veltliner is a grape variety common to Austria. It’s like Sauvignon Blanc, or Pinot Blanc, except that it ages well. Even more importantly, it has a chemistry that makes it a great match with hard to pair vegetables. Bright citrus flavors are accented by hints of white pepper. This is that perfect wine that invites you to enjoy it casually and then proceeds to impress right to the last drop.
“All that needs to be said is, this is this wine at its best.”
– Terry Theise
“Fresh and expressive, with citrus, floral and mineral flavors that linger in the mouth. It practically invites you to have a second glass.”
– Eric Asimov, The New York Times
