Description
The Grillo grape from Sicily is used to make Marsala, but in a broader style it becomes a delicious lighter dry white wine that will pair well with salads and luncheon sandwiches. This Bacaro Grillo wine is new at Surdyk’s and stands tall with its beaming straw color and aromas of flower blossoms and herbal thyme. You’ll taste a honeyed layer over core flavors of peach, pear, and melon fruit. A light bodied texture gives way to ample acidity that makes this Grillo wine excellent with warm weather food dishes. This is a smooth and thoughtful white that fills a glass with refreshing flavors. -Bill McCleary, Surdyk's Staff
