Pierre Peters NV Cuvée de Reserve

As one of Champagne’s most successful grower-producer houses, we here at Surdyk’s are honored to have this wine to offer. Situated in the heart of the “Côte des Blancs,” the family-owned Pierre Peters has, unlike its bigger brethren, the ability to completely manage production from vine to glass. Their 19 hectares of vines now have an average age of over 30 years, lying primarily on a chalky outcrop perfect for producing delicate, lively Chardonnay. The house style at Pierre Peters derives from marrying their fresh, brightly mineral fruit to the elegance and complexity obtained through careful blending. A full malolactic fermentation and moderately high fermentation temperatures serve to tame the steely acidity
common in Champagne. The non-vintage bottlings always incorporate a significant proportion (up to 40%) of reserve wine assembled over decades by saving back a portion of each year’s blend and adding it to a solera. The results leave you with a Champagne that is high-toned and fresh, yet deep and complex, flowing from notes of hazelnut, acacia, apricot, and holiday garland. Ring in 2020 with something stylish, singular, and special.
