Lazy Days of Summer

Lazy Days of Summer

August – that fleeting last month of summer. If you can bet on one thing it’s that temperatures will be sweltering at some point during these next 15 days. To survive the muggy heat you won’t want to be making high proof cocktails with a dozen ingredients. You want easy, refreshing, and low proof. These thirst-quenching drinks can go from brunch to the pontoon to the balcony without knocking you out. Summer survival at its most civilized.

Bravazzi Pimms

It doesn’t get easier than this. A two-item cocktail that is the definition of refreshing.
1 part Pimm’s Cup #1
3 parts Bravazzi Limonata
Pour together in a highball glass filled with ice and garnish with a lemon wedge.

Midwestern Americano

A perfect combo of bitter and sweet ingredients from Minnesota & Italy.
1 oz. Tattersall Bitter Orange Liqueur
1 oz. Cocchi Americano Sweet Vermouth
4 oz. club soda
Combine all ingredients into a highball glass filled with ice. Garnish with Dardiman’s Dried Mandarin slices.

Suze Spritz

Suze is a French aperitif made from the pleasingly bitter gentian root with citrus notes. If you want a bigger boozy punch, swap out the soda with French Cremant sparkling wine.
1 oz. Suze
4 oz. Club Soda
Pour into a highball glass filled with ice and garnish with both lemon and orange twists.
