Mark Selner has been the resident beer buyer and expert for the last 41 years. His last day at Surdyk’s happens to be the last day of the year (we think he planned that) and what better way to move to 2015 than by drinking craft beer? Craft beer has exploded in the last few years (Mark can tell you all about it) and the trend is back to canning vs. bottling. Now you can find your favorite local beer, and even a bourbon barrel oatmeal stout in a can! We’re featuring one of Mark’s favorite craft beers, Milwaukee’s own Bull Falls Nut Brown Ale. This ale has the characteristics of a classic American brown ale. It has chocolate and caramel flavors along with a light nutty flavor on the crisp and clean finish. Perfect to pair with winter chili and chocolate cake.
All of our craft canned beer is on sale up to 15% off through the end of the year. Buy some cans and give our favorite beer guy a big hug.
Here’s some other canned favorites:
Summit Winter Ale
Summit Winter is a staple in Minnesota, and now it is offered in cans. It is nutty, roasty, toasty, and has flavors of coffee, caramel and chocolate and finishes with a little hop spice bit. Perfect for tailgate parties and family gatherings. Local winter beer here!
Oskar Blues Mama’s Little Yella Pils
This pilsner is modeled after the traditional pilsners that come from the birthplace of pilsners; Pilsen, Czech Republic. This beer is made with 100% pale malt, German malts, and Saaz hops. This rich, malty beer is lightly hopped, and the low ABV make it perfect for any occasion.
