Washington State is the 2nd largest wine producer in the country and is producing premium wines of superior quality. 13 different growing regions of the state offer a diversity of climates, soil types, and growing conditions that allow a wide variety of grapes to grow well. This class will explore the range of varietals, distinctive character and unique balance of New and Old World that Washington State wine has to offer. This class will be led by special guest, Robert Cavanaugh. Brought to us by the Washington Wine Commission. Mr. Cavanaugh is an award-winning wine educator and his humorous, down-to-earth approach makes wine tasting and education enjoyable for all levels of knowledge. He holds certifications from The Wine and Spirits Education Trust of London (WSET), The Court of Master Sommeliers and Le Conseil Interprofessionnel du Vin de Bordeaux as part of the prestigious International Bordeaux Ambassador program.
