Andriano Müller-Thurgau

Taste the wines of Cantina Andriano on Friday 5/31 and Saturday 6/1.  Andriano was founded in 1883 and was the first cooperative in the Alto Adige region in northern Italy. Wines from these vineyards at the base of Mount Gantkofel show a freshness and complexity thanks to the combination of calcareous, clay soil and the cool climate of the region. The Müller-Thurgau grapes are harvested by hand in the higher altitude area of San Genesio. The grapes are then fermented at controlled temperatures in stainless steel vats and then mature on the fine lees for up to six months before bottling. The wine is pale yellow in the glass with an aromatic fragrance of peach and tropical fruits. The wine is dry and medium-bodied on the palate with notable acidity and a fruity finish.
