How can I place my order?
Orders can be placed by phone (612-676-2287), email (firstname.lastname@example.org
), or in person. Please note that all catering orders require a minimum of 48 hours notice. Those catering orders placed with less than 48 hours notice that we are able to fulfill will incur a 10% service charge. Orders for Mondays must be received by 2pm on Thursday. All catering requests that require full service must be booked at least one full week in advance to ensure the availability of service staff. Due to market availability and seasonality, some substitutions may be necessary.
All orders must be paid-in-full at the time the order is placed; we accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover Card. We must receive notice of changes or cancellation 48 hours prior to delivery or pick-up time for a refund. Large orders and events may require additional notice.
What are my delivery or pick-up options?
Orders can be picked up from Surdyk’s Cheese Shop during our regular business hours: 9am to 9pm Mon-Thurs, 9am-10pm Fri-Sat. We are closed on Sundays.
We offer drop-off delivery during our regular business hours to locations in the Twin Cities Metro area. Delivery charges vary and can be quoted when you place your order. Delivery with set-up is also available for an additional charge.
How will my order be presented?
Surdyk’s Cheese Shop provides foods that are fully cooked, refrigerated, and ready to be served or reheated. We present your order on plastic trays or, when reheating is necessary, items are sent in disposable, ovenproof aluminum pans. We can provide you with our own wood and ceramic serving pieces for a small fee and refundable deposit, or we are always happy to arrange your order on your own platters. Chafing dish rentals are also available.
Is staffing available for my event?
Full service catering is available, including wait staff, bartenders, and chefs. Additional advance notice is required for serviced events; to inquire about availability, please contact our catering department at 612-676-2287 or at email@example.com
What are my options for beverages?
Surdyk’s Liquor is the largest liquor retailer in the Midwest, which gives us the unique ability to provide you with our expansive selection of beverages at retail prices. Our knowledgeable wine, beer, and spirits consultants are always available to help you select the right beverages suited to your occasion, menu, and budget. We also offer a variety of non-alcoholic options including natural sodas, juices, mineral water, house-brewed iced tea, and fresh-squeezed lemonade, and we partner with local roasters to provide coffee and tea service.
Can you accommodate special dietary needs?
We are happy to work with you to create a menu that will satisfy every guest. Many of our menu items can be adapted to suit vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free diets, and specific allergies.
Can you provide rentals and disposables for my order?
For a nominal charge, our catering team can arrange for rental items such as wine glasses, china, flatware, linens, and tables from a local rental company. If you’d prefer to order rental items on your own, we’re happy to provide consultation to ensure you get the proper items suited to your menu.

How much should I order?
Our menu notes the approximate number of servings for each item. If you are not sure how much to order, we can make recommendations based on your type of event, time of day, and other factors.
